Detective Rhiley lives an unorganised lifestyle; he lives alone in an inexpensive, messy, cluttered flat in central New York. He's tall and thin, occasionally smokes cigarettes and drinks whisky. His skin is pale and bone structure defined, he likes to have his hair combed back, sometimes with an additional top hat; he is always seen wearing dark suits, normally with braces attached to the trousers.
He grew up in down-town New York where he became very independent at a young age through the abandonment of his mother and father. Rhiley never really sensed belonging; his father was a crooked cop-making big money through dodgy dealings and his mother a drunk. As a result of this he's never become attached closely to anyone and prefers his independence as he inspired to be be the opposite of what was around him at a younger age; becoming a detective and doing good for the society of central New York was a way for him to do this and was a way forward for success and money.
His aim in the plot is to catch the well known John Stokes, an illegal gang leader; he's been on his case for a while now and this could be his final chance to get him through the beautiful women who is Alina, a women he met at a cafe, she's helping him by luring in Stokes with her charm and beauty.
