Occupation: Illegal gang leader
Appearance: 6ft, large build, short brown hair gelled in conventional 1940's style. Rough features with tanned skin, wears a dark suit and 1940's style hat, black polished shoes and tough body language.
Back Story: Worked as part of a gang for many years, his brutality and style of leading meant he worked his way to the top of the gang hierarchy. He is sadistic, merciless and unforgiving. He has lived a very hard life and makes few emotional attachments to anyone, he shows no compassionate emotions- even to those he could not bear to lose, He always successfully avoids capture by his daring and speedy escapes and is often warned by other gang members of police surveillence. His dealings are always illegal and he has access to a lot of information as people are scared of him, he remains composed and fearless in tense situations like a good gang leader should.
Role in narrative: He is under the watchful eye of detective Rhiley and he knows it, he is well aware that Rhiley is the closest person to catching him, its only a matter of time. He has arranged to meet up with Alina as part of an attempt to catch him. The audience is unsure whether or not he was aware of the set up. He takes Alina hostage as part of his escape or his master plan (?) He takes pleasure in making games for the police and often has others do his dirty work, but occasionally indulges in brutality.
