I liked this font because it is sharp and stands out, it isn't rounded or curved much so it doesn't look modern. However it look possibly more suited to a sci-fi film or thriller as it is maybe a bit too edgy for our film noir.
I chose this font as part of my research as i have looked into film noir posters i have found a recurring theme of drawn/ painted artwork with almost comic/ cartoon like fonts to match. However i don't think it connoted the romantic thriller feel we are trying to achieve.
I liked this font as it is much more interesting than the typical type-writer style font, i think it goes well with our crime aspect of our film. However it isn't very creative or interesting, if it was on a poster it wouldn't stand our much.
I liked this font a lot, it is based on the Godfather font, but with our title it gives a completely different feel, it is edgy but simple and i feel it makes a statement. However, i don't think it conveys the romance aspect very well.
I found this font after i saw the one above (^) i think it ticks all the boxes the one above doesn't, it is much softer but still quite eye catching. However i don't think it as interesting as the one above.
I decided to play about looking at more romantic fonts for our film noir- i liked thins one as it still has a rough edge to the word 'Instinct' its just the 'S' that softens he font. However i think it is a bit too romantic and probably won't attract an audience interested in crime etc which is the other aspect of our film noir and another part of our target audience.
I chose this font because it was basic but still had an impact, it is more interesting than the more basic types of text. However i feel it conveys the wrong type of message about our film.
I have seen quite a few film noir posters with similar fonts to this, probably because it is bold and stands out- quite like the main character in most film noirs. However i think it is a bit dull and it could be for any genre- it isn't very specific to film noir.
i thought i would try a more script like font, it suggests mystery, love and thrills, which is what we are going for. However i feel this font is too like a font for a romance or historic film.
I tried this font as it was bold and almost cartoon like (which would look nice on our hand painted poster). However i find this font quite boring and it doesn't give any suggestions about theme.
I thought i would try this font as it is edgy and romantic, it is hand drawn like so it would go with the poster. However i don't think it would be very typical of a film noir.
Like the above font (^) i thought i would try more hand- drawn styles to go with the poster. However i don't think it matches any film noir styles and i don't think it has the desired effect for the poster.
